The Dirty Matcha Latte is a drink made from layers of matcha green tea and espresso with milk. It was Starbucks in Asia that popularized this drink. This double-caffeinated drink is not only vibrant in color, but also in taste.
For this recipe, we recommend using our Premium Matcha, and Organic Premium Matcha
You will need 5 ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar (or to your taste)
- 4 spoons of Organic Matcha Premium/Matcha Premium matcha
- ¼ cup hot water (no more than 75c to dissolve matcha)
- ½ cup milk or non-dairy alternative
- 2 oz hot brewed espresso
Instructions:
- Place the sugar and matcha at the bottom of a large glass. Add water and mix well to dissolve the matcha and sugar. Use our premium milk frother to dissolve sugar faster.
- Take a spoon and turn it over so the back is facing up. Place the spoon slightly above the matcha. Carefully pour the milk over the back of the spoon.
- The milk will drip gently over the top of the spoon.
- Then, using the same technique, carefully pour the hot espresso over the back of the spoon, over the matcha and milk. The espresso will float on top.
- Stir everything together and enjoy.
